A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has exceeded over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the news eu ai act international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses on prevention through education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
